I would absolutely not advise you to sit on the ground of a BART train. For starters, I have thrown up on BART before (not alcohol related), and while I made my best effort to wipe my regurgitated peanut butter and oatmeal from the BART floor with an old t-shirt that a sympathetic passenger gave me, I am willing to bet no one came in to steam clean the place when I got off. And, by the reactions of the passengers who saw my incident, a little throw up is the least of their worries on BART. In fact, when I apologized to the man next to me, his response was, "don't worry about it. It's just BART". This particular incident, coupled with the fact that we have no idea what color the "carpet" in the train used to be because of the stains everywhere, should be as much of a reason as we need to know we should NEVER sit on the floor. I hope you washed your pants when you got home.
Sincerely,
Daily Commuter
